Highlights of Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival 2022
Yim Tin Tsai Arts Festival commenced in 2019 and was a three-year pilot arts cum cultural, historical and green tourism project organised at Yim Tin Tsai, Sai Kung by the Tourism Commission through collaboration amongst artists, youngsters and Yim Tin Tsai villagers.
In view that the three-year pilot project was well received by visitors, the Tourism Commission has rolled out between 2022 and 2024 the Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival as the second phase of the Yim Tin Tsai Arts Festival. The coverage of the Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival will be gradually expanded from Yim Tin Tsai to Sharp Island, Kau Sai Chau, and High Island.
The first year of the Arts Festival was held from 16 November 2022 to 15 January 2023 in Yim Tin Tsai and Sharp Island, whereas the second year of the Arts Festival was being held from 15 November 2023 to 14 January 2024 on the four islands mentioned above. Other than displaying artworks, guided tours and public programmes of various themes were also offered to visitors free of charge during the Arts Festival. Most of the artworks are still retained for visitors’ enjoyment after the Arts Festival.
