The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is a government-subvented body tasked to market and promote Hong Kong as a travel destination worldwide and to enhance visitors' experience once they arrive.

Ocean Park Corporation Ordinance, Chapter 388

Section 7(1): "There is hereby established a Board to be called the Board of the Ocean Park Corporation."

Section 7(2): "The Board shall be the governing and executive body of the Corporation and, as such, shall perform all the functions imposed on the Corporation and may exercise all the powers conferred on the Corporation by this Ordinance."

Travel Industry Authority

The Travel Industry Authority was established in January 2020 under the Travel Industry Ordinance (Cap. 634). Its functions include promoting the integrity, competency and professionalism of travel agents, tourist guides and tour escorts through a statutory licensing and regulatory system, and regulating shops that inbound tour groups are arranged to patronise.

Appeal Panel (Travel Industry Ordinance)

The Appeal Panel (Travel Industry Ordinance) is established under the Travel Industry Ordinance (Cap. 634) (the Ordinance) to deal with appeals lodged to the Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism against the Travel Industry Authority’s decisions or orders as specified under section 120 of the Ordinance. The Chairperson of the appeal panel will appoint from the panel an appeal board to hear the appeal after a notice of appeal has been received.

Advisory Committee on Cruise Industry

The Advisory Committee on Cruise Industry (ACCI) was established on 28 January 2008. This is part of the Government's plan to further develop Hong Kong into a regional cruise hub. With members from key players in the cruise market, tourism industry, and the Hong Kong Tourism Board, ACCI advises the Government on measures enhancing the development of Hong Kong as a regional cruise hub. Matters of priorities for ACCI include -

developing cruise tourism in Hong Kong and the region;

fostering co-operation with neighbouring coastal provinces in the Mainland and in Asia for cruise itinerary development;

driving market demand for cruise tourism and expanding our cruise passenger source markets; and

enhancing manpower supply to cater for the needs of the cruise market.
