Opened
in November 1989, the Hong Kong Cultural
Centre is the second phase of the Tsim Sha
Tsui waterfront cultural development designed
to cater for the performing arts. It is
the premier arts centre in the territory
where major international arts festivals
are hosted. There are three performing halls
within the Centre, offering a total of about
4,000 seats for productions of various art
forms. Over 800 performances by local talents
as well as international masters are staged
at the centre each year.
