This 80-storey skyscraper was developed by Cheung Kong (Holdings) Limited as a major urban re-development project in Central, Hong Kong's central business district. Since its completion in 1998, The Center has made significant contribution to improving the surrounding environment. The plush foliage and special water features in its entrance concourse present a much appreciated urban oasis in the midst of Hong Kong's bustling commercial district.

The building's external facades are installed with an advanced computer-controlled lighting system which allows the dynamic display of over one million different combinations of colours and patterns. The Center's distinctive architectural design is presently an eminent element of the Hong Kong skyline.
