- To oversee the operation of the Ocean Park, including new development projects

- To serve as Secretary to the Tourism Strategy Group
- To monitor tourism performance
- To handle emergency incidents involving hotels

- To plan and
co-ordinate the provision of territory-wide tourism supporting facilities
- To manage and maintain the light and sound show "A Symphony of Lights"
- To facilitate the smooth operation of the Hong Kong Wetland Park, Ngong Ping 360 and Peak Tramway
- To steer and
co-ordinate the development and promotion of green, heritage and cultural tourism
- To facilitate the staging of tourism events and related activities in Hong Kong
- To co-ordinate the implementation of "Hong Kong Young Ambassador Scheme"
- To housekeep the Hong Kong Tourism Board
- To promote the service quality of the tourism industry
- To oversee the general administration of the Tourism Commission
- To launch the pilot scheme on food trucks and monitor the implementation of the pilot scheme

co-ordinate the operation of the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal
- To facilitate the development of cruise industry in Hong Kong, including
co-ordinating the work of the Advisory Committee on Cruise Industry
- To oversee the operation of the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, including park expansion works

for Tourism (Preparatory Team)

Miss Kathleen AU

- To plan and implement the preparatory work for the establishment of the Travel Industry Authority and a new regulatory regime of the travel industry

Mr CHAN Kim-keung

- To oversee the Travel Agents Registry (TAR) in the administration of the Travel Agents Ordinance (Cap. 218), including the licensing and regulation of travel agents, and the handling of complaints against unlicensed travel agents
- To oversee the TAR in the administration of the Travel Industry Compensation Fund (TICF)
- To serve as Secretary to the Advisory Committee on Travel Agents
- To serve as Secretary to the TICF Management Board
