The Government has launched the Tourism Industry Additional Support Scheme (the Scheme) to provide a one-off subsidy of $15,000 to each eligible freelance tourist guide and tour escort whose main occupation is a tourist guide and a tour escort.
Eligibility
“Eligible freelance tourist guides and tour escorts”: Freelance accredited tourist guides and tour escorts whose main occupations are tourist guides and tour escorts and have received subsidy under the Tourism Industry Support Scheme of the third round of Anti-epidemic Fund (AEF 3.0).
Disbursement of Subsidy
The eligible freelance tourist guides and tour escorts are not required to apply for subsidy under the Scheme. The Government will send SMS notifications to them about subsidy disbursement arrangement. They are required to contact the Travel Agents Registry if there is any updating to their bank account information for receiving relevant subsidy on or before 16 December 2020.
