9 Queensway Government Offices

Located at the Queensway on the one side, and adjacent to Hong Kong Park on the other side, Queensway Government Offices is easily accessible and yet tranquil. The High Block and Low Block were built in 1986 and 1985 respectively. Two offices under the Security Bureau and 16 government departments are accommodated here.

At the roof top of the High Block of Queensway Government Offices flies the Brand Hong Kong Dragon. This sign, erected in 2002 to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the reunification of Hong Kong with China, links Hong Kong to a cultural and historic icon. The dragon's flowing lines incorporate the Chinese characters for "Hong Kong" and the English letters "HK" - a blend of East and West that defines Hong Kong's unique character. The dragon, smooth and fluid in shape, symbolizes that Hong Kong is dynamic and forever progressing, attributes that make Hong Kong Asia's world city.
