Lei Yue Mun Waterfront

After the completion of the minor improvement works in Lei Yue Mun (LYM) in 2003, we plan to further improve the facilities along its waterfront so as to leverage on its strengths and further enhance its attractiveness. The key features of the conceptual design include:
- constructing a public landing facility, a breakwater and a waterfront promenade to the east of the LYM Lighthouse;
- constructing five lookout points along the LYM waterfront and improving the existing viewing platform;
- landscaping the footpaths linking various lookout points;
- constructing a carp-shaped viewing platform to serve as a landmark of LYM; and
- erecting information boards at suitable locations along the LYM waterfront.
We expect the works to commence in 2009 for completion by phases in 2011.
