Enhancement of Footbridges in Tsim Sha Tsui East

The map is not drawn in scale

To make Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) East more attractive and visitor-friendly, two footbridge ramps on the TST promenade opposite to Kowloon Shangri-la Hotel and Empire Centre have already been replaced with lifts. This has opened up the originally cluttered waterfront, freed more open space for the public, and thereby greatly improved the environment in the area. The measure has been well received by the community at large and visitors. Hence, we are planning to replace the remaining footbridge ramps in TST East with lifts and to carry out aesthetic enhancement for the footbridges in TST East. Works are expected to commence in mid 2008 for completion in mid 2010.
