The following captures some of the Leadership Services organized by the Young Ambassadors during the school year 2001/02:


PROMOTE HONG KONG

Tsang Heung Kwan - Lai Chack School
(3 -15 July 2002 in United Kingdom)
Tsang Heung Kwan joined an exchange program to United Kingdom to visit their local schools and youth centers, and meet with the local delegates. In order to promote Hong Kong, he organised an ¡§International Evening¡¨. During the evening, he distributed leaflets which introduce Hong Kong and the pins and magnets under the brand of¡§A Hospitable Hong Kong¡¨ as souvenirs. He had also conducted a presentation in a youth centre to introduce the culture and special attractions of Hong Kong, and invite people to visit Hong Kong. Photo

CHINESE SPECIAL FOOD COOKING COMPETITION

Chan Mang Mang - T.W.G.Hs Chen Zao Men College
(17 & 22 March 2002 in the Home Economics Room of the School)
The Chinese Special Food Competition, organised by Chan Mang Mang, aimed to enhance the fellow students' knowledge of traditional Chinese food. It is hoped that the students would then be able to promote traditional Chinese food to their friends and relatives from overseas. Photo Photo

OPEN DAY - A HOSPITABLE HONG KONG

Chong Wai Kai - Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Haking Wong)
(8-9 March 2002 in the Classroom of the Institute)
¡§To spread the message of hospitality to people who come from different backgrounds¡¨ is the theme of the activity. Chong Wai Kai held a booth to promote Hong Kong tourism to general public. He had also set up some games and exhibition panels on this topic. Besides, he had arranged a video broadcasting and souvenirs distribution throughout the exhibition. Photo Photo

YUEN SIU FESTIVAL

Sin Yuen Ling & Lee Kit Ching - Shun Tak Fraternal Association Leung Kau Kui College

The Yuen Siu Festival is also known as the Chinese Valentine Day. Sin Yuen Ling and Lee Kit Ching had organised games and a workshop to introduce the origin and the special cuisine of the Festival so that their schoolmates would have a better understanding of the history of the Yuen Siu Festival. VISIT : LIN HEUNG TEA HOUSE

In order to gather information on the history of Chinese tea house, Chan Mang Mang organised a visit to Lin Heung Tea House, a Chinese traditional tea house located at Wellington Street in Central. They took photographs and conducted interviews. It was to promote a better understanding of traditional tea house in Hong Kong and traditional Chinese food. Photo
